A major free exhibition has opened in Valencia, featuring nearly 90 paintings by renowned masters.
The Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia (MuBAV) is presenting “Classics and Moderns. Masterpieces from the BBVA Collection,” showcasing 84 works by 71 artists.
The exhibition offers an exceptional journey through European art history from the 16th to the 20th centuries, with works by Murillo, Goya, Brueghel, Zuloaga, Pantoja de la Cruz, Van Dyck, Sorolla, and others. These artists share a common vision rooted in nature and figurative realism, a style that emerged in Flanders and Italy in the early 1500s.
After its successful showing at the Palace of San Nicolás in Bilbao, the exhibition is now on display in Valencia from November 13, 2025, to February 15, 2026.
